The Artist

David John Kelly of Toronto, Canada, is an improvisational artist who expresses himself and his unconscious mind through a process that permits patterns and images to emerge freely from his pen or his brush. An exceptionally talented painter, his work is generally not preconceived. Instead it is both expressive and spontaneous, and rich in color and texture. David chooses to paint in this vibrant style despite having artistic skills that make him capable of painting in photo realism.

David’s painting Rainbow Girl, the actual cover girl of Kay Kay’s Divorce: I’d Fall in Love with Anyone, was purchased by Kay Ballard in 2000 and is among many paintings by this imaginative artist in her private collection.
