The Designer

Idaho-based designer Kate Carpenter created the CD packaging for Kay Kay’s Divorce: I’d Fall in Love with Anyone, blending David Kelly’s bold painting and her own crisp styles and colors. She also translated the design to this site.

Kate started out as a newspaper and magazine wordsmith, then migrated to the visual side of the business before jumping ship altogether to launch her own design studio. Additionally, she runs a screenprinted stationery business, Katie Blair Designs, which leaves her up to her elbows in ink and covered in paper cuts most days.

Kate graduated from the renowned University of Missouri School of Journalism, and her work as a reporter and a designer has allowed her to camp with river guides, drink coffee with jazz singers, and see some surprisingly fascinating parts of Idaho.
